Action shot!

Even though it’s really expensive and I’m only a student, despite the fact that my friends always get annoyed with me and my ghetto camera up in their grill, I love using film. I love that I never know how the pictures have turned out, until i get my lazy/stoned arse into gear and go shell out the small fortune to get my film developed. And then I find beauties like this! So it might not be the best action-shot of people on a trampoline before, but I still think it’s awesome. I like how my mate J’s in the foreground, looking on whilst the others play ‘crack the egg’. There was a lot of failed attempts too, of course! But still, it’s usually a few weeks at least before I get my films developed but when I do me and my friends always love going through to see what random pictures we ended up with this time. Which, for me, makes photography a bit more fun (definitely frustrating too, though!)
Not the most festive of posts as it was taken in the summer.
Still, Merry Christmas to those who celebrate.
To those who don’t, I hope you’ve had an awesome Tuesday!

Why I love using film.

  1. Film seems to imbue shots with strange but lovable feeling of nostalgia! I once found my grandpa’s old soviet camera but it broke my heart that I can’t find film that works with the mechanism. What camera are you using?

    • I know, I love the effect that only film can bring! it’s kind of like a real instagram effect. That’s a shame about the soviet camera, that sounds incredible. I’m using an old Canon EOS 300, a gift from my aunt a few years ago!
